Because here, there's no reason not to. This is not a battlefield or a hostile situation, Ironhide. I can and do understand why you would uphold the faction gulf, but at the same time, this is not a normal situation.

Because he means something to me, have always done so! I have shot at him when needed, when I've had to, when he's deserved it because that was the only way to deal with it, but this is not so simple as him merely being an enemy combatant.

Ironhide... Starscream has killed, and done it without justification, I know this. But he also has chosen not to kill when he could have and he has also rescued Bumblebee when I had to deal with something else.

As I've understood it, he is not the only killer in this place, but you would put a special onus on him? I don't want to see you injured or punished, either as a friend or a fellow Autobot, and I don't want to see Starscream injured or punished because... he means... quite a lot to me.
