[He's sort of just lounging around, but looks rather happy all things considered.]
I have to admit that I am actually having an exceptional evening and actually feeling quite pleasantly wonderful at the moment.
How are the rest of you doing? I hope your time has been just as eventful.

Starscream... while I'm glad you're enjoying yourself... the furbies. Why? You don't even like them.
[And he didn't mean Starscream didn't like the furbies, even if that was true as well. But he meant the mechs the Seeker had somehow remodeled them after, as well as fiddled with their vocalizers. That was just... quite frankly, disturbing.]
[commentlog]
Why not? It's amusing to watch them babble to each other. I considered giving the third one the voice of an Autobot though. One who likes to go off on science tangents.
But then I changed my mind because I would have to shoot it to get it to shut up.
And that would be such a waste of energy.
[commentlog]
Amusing? [The flattest of stares. Just... he'll just cross his arms and then shake his helm. And don't think he missed that poke about him.] Which weigh the heaviest? That you have reduced the templates, in whatever distant fashion, to incomprehensible simple babbling?
[Not that it wasn't hard to figure out the simple basics of the exceedingly simple drones' "language".] Or that you've made them... cute and fuzzy?
And they all seem kind of hard to make be quiet.
[It's kind of insulting that Starscream would entertain that thought about what to have done to the third one, but since it hadn't been done...]
If you decide to follow through, Starscream, I might have to re-educate them.
[Yes, all of them. He was not above doing something like that, though he probably wouldn't go through the effort Starscream had and change their design and fur-colour.]
[commentlog]
[ Starscream shrugged and smirked again. ]
You have to admit though, the idea of them being reduced to that is amusing.
[And he was fully content to continue to lay in his spot, if not for Jetfire's threat that he would have reprogrammed them. That made Starscream snap up and instantly point a finger in Jetfire's direction.]
They are mine and you aren't going to touch them or I will make them all look like you and spread some horrible rumors throughout this whole castle.
[Though he was considering doing that anyway.]
[commentlog]
... Somewhat, yes.
[That was all the "admitting" he would do, however. Not removing his hand, Jetfire glanced at Starscream, optics narrowing a bit. What was he even...]
Technically, only two of those are yours, depending on how you got the third, but I see no reason to take one of them back. And I thought you just said you didn't want to listen to... your idea of how I act babble at you all the time.
[Straightening up, Jetfire crossed his arms.]
What would them looking like me and you spreading rumours even have to do with each other?
[commentlog]
[Since it moved from what he could sneak out of Jetfire's room in to his possessions to 'what is Jetfire's is now his'. Which the white Autobot probably didn't agree to that part of the clause
Too late now though.]
And you don't know much about organic reproduction, do you? Lets just say their offspring tend to resemble their parents.
I'm sure you can connect the dots on that one.
[commentlog]
[Jetfire's extremely flat stare, however, was derailed when Starscream elaborated on what he was threatening to do, and yes, indeed, he could connect the dots on that one.]
You... Starscream. They're covered in a thick mat of synthetic fibres meant to imitate the fur of Earth mammals; are we covered in fur? Who would even believe you if you claimed they were my... offspring... even if they looked like me?
[And then he remembered Rapunzel. Just excuse him as he vents in exasperation.]
Please do not. Besides, any explanation of the way we actually do it would mean they cannot quite obviously be protoforms.
[commentlog]
[He shrugged in his spot and leaned back a bit.]
Just as long as you don't touch my things. Which includes things I have gathered and things you might consider still yours.
[This was probably the equivalent of setting up boundaries or marking his territory.
Everything was his now.]
[commentlog]
And for that, thank you.
[So you won't mind him coming over and leaning down to brush a kiss over the front of his helm before he straightens again, helm tilted.]
... However, it's going to be hard for me to do anything if you can automatically claim any given item... Or will you inform me what you decide to take?
[As long as Starscream doesn't carve the Cybertronian glyphs representing his designation or the equivalent letters in English anywhere on Jetfire, he can deal.]
[commentlog]
Just consider everything fair game and you won't have to worry.
[ANYTHING ANYTIME. And he is totally going to write his name on Jetfire one of these days.]
[commentlog]
I see I will have to resort to hiding things if I want to keep something to myself. Or keep it on my person.
[He's not actually serious, even if he knows Starscream is. He's heard the Seeker's claims... that doesn't mean he's going to bend to them.
And Jetfire will merely have to hope the idea of somehow scrawling his name on Jetfire's plating will simply not occur to Starscream.]
[commentlog]
If you think that would work, you're welcome to try.
[Jetfire should try to steer it away from seeming like a challenge and hope Starscream gets bored with the idea quickly.]
[commentlog]
If I did not offer you some sort of challenge, you would get terribly bored.
[Unfortunately, Jetfire is now laying it out as such... It might even be amusing to him.]
[commentlog]
How do you know, I won't get bored anyway?
[And it was a really good thing that Jetfire didn't own much at the Keep to begin with.]
[commentlog]
That is, of course, inevitable, but I shall endeavour to make the impact of said boredom as small as possible.
[Another tap, this time against the top of Starscream's helm; they would both inevitably be bored. There just weren't enough of the right sort of stimulation here, but Starscream's boredom could potentially be rather more... lethal... than Jetfire's.
And Primus help him if he does accumulate much more things.]
[commentlog]
[A slight pause before ...]
I am the only non-boring thing in your life.
[commentlog]
[He just sort of non-committaly hums at Starscream's verbal jab about being the only thing that's not boring; outright disagreeing with Starscream wouldn't half as... amusing, but Starscream's also... Not exactly correct, but partially right. It's complicated.]
And information, of whatever sort, is not boring. While it can be more or less interesting and riveting to gather what you want or need to know, anything that can be of help in this situation... or adding facts and giving new angles to theories, are useful.
And even if useful really was boring, perhaps you need more of that.
[Considering the sort of decisions and actions Starscream tends to take - even now, millions of years since they last saw each other, and after he's spent some time in such a different environment as Earth - some more information to take into consideration might be good.]
[commentlog]
I'm sorry. Everything turned into illegible drabble after 'I suppose.' Could you repeat all of that?
[commentlog]
I could, if that's what you need;
And information, of whatever sort, is not boring. While it can be more or less interesting and riveting to gather what you want or need to know, anything that can be of help in this situation... or adding facts and giving new angles to theories, are useful.
And even if useful really was boring, perhaps you need more of that.
[You were saying?]
Of course, if you didn't understand that the first time around, I find I have to express concern over the proper function of your processor and language recognition software, Starscream.
[commentlog]
[He totally says this with a straight face too.]
All I heard that time was 'blah blah blah is not boring blah blah express concern over the proper function blah blah.'
I really might need to look into that.
[commentlog]
There's a slight grimace before Jetfire's expression flattens out and he cocks his helm.]
I would recommend it, yes. It seems to be getting worse. It would be a pity, after all, if it spread over the entirety of your vocal processors.
[Jetfire, close enough to do so, leaned down and murmured the next words into Starscream's audio receptors before he straightened.]
You wouldn't even be able to speak. And that would be a pity, wouldn't it?
[commentlog]
[A slight pause as he tilted his head up to look at Jetfire.]
Or write everything down on paper and force you to read it. Your language program does work for English writing now does it? Did I give you the whole Earth package or just that one?
[Because he could just start speaking in another language to screw with Jetfire.]
Jetfire-kun, o-genki desu ka?
[commentlog]
[Jetfire would have said that no, Starscream had only given him the English language pack, but considering he switched over to another Earth language and all Jetfire could so was cross his arms and stare narrowly.]
... No, Starscream, I didn't understand that.
[And why had Starscream only given him the files for merely one language?]
[commentlog]
[And with that Starscream leans back and laughs again. He would have to remember to speak in different languages at odd intervals just to annoy Jetfire.
New game, in other words.]
[commentlog]
That didn't stop him from flatly staring at Starscream in exasperation. With that reaction, it was clear what the answer would be to his question, but he would aks anyway.]
It would be, if I could actually understand you when you use anything beside English or Cybertronian. Could I have the other language files too?
[commentlog]
Oh this was too good.
He folds his arms across his chest instead of answering right away, but when he does ...]
Nein.
[commentlog]
So, excuse Jetfire as he drums his fingers against an upper arm after that... "reply".]
I'm not going to stop asking, you understand. And while it'll be hard if you switch between different languages every time, I'm still going to pick up simple words. Like now.
[He had patience aplenty, but he also wouldn't let this go on for too long.
Of course, he'd only picked up this word because Starscream had only used one and in obvious negation of his request.]
[commentlog]
[He gestures to Jetfire with a smirk. But at least he switched back to English for now. It wouldn't be as fun if he kept doing it all in one day.
No, he had to spread it out a bit.
Use phrases randomly.
That'll be more interesting.]
[commentlog]
[Jetfire shrugged, even as he gave Starscream another stare. But he kept in the slight huffed vent that wanted to escape prematurely.
There would be something he could do to get what he wanted, surely.]
[commentlog]
I don't imagine you ever being that creative. Anyway, I'm sure you have other more boring things to do.
[He waved Jetfire off. Not that he was really shooing him away. But it was easier to torment others when the larger jet wasn't standing right there.]
[commentlog]
Sometimes the simplest solution is the easiest, Starscream... But I hope you'll give me the data before that.
[Not that he believes that, what with Starscream having denied him now, and obviously considering the potential "amusement" worth more than humouring Jetfire and his nicely asking for the language files.]
