[He just sort of non-committaly hums at Starscream's verbal jab about being the only thing that's not boring; outright disagreeing with Starscream wouldn't half as... amusing, but Starscream's also... Not exactly correct, but partially right. It's complicated.]

And information, of whatever sort, is not boring. While it can be more or less interesting and riveting to gather what you want or need to know, anything that can be of help in this situation... or adding facts and giving new angles to theories, are useful.

And even if useful really was boring, perhaps you need more of that.

[Considering the sort of decisions and actions Starscream tends to take - even now, millions of years since they last saw each other, and after he's spent some time in such a different environment as Earth - some more information to take into consideration might be good.]

[Starscream just stares at Jetfire as he goes on and on. He eventually leans back and folds his arms across his chest as he continues his blank stare.]

[Because he could just start speaking in another language to screw with Jetfire.]

[Jetfire would have said that no, Starscream had only given him the English language pack, but considering he switched over to another Earth language and all Jetfire could so was cross his arms and stare narrowly.]

[And with that Starscream leans back and laughs again. He would have to remember to speak in different languages at odd intervals just to annoy Jetfire.

[He may not have had any exposure to the right (pop) culture to be able to tell that Starscream's laugh probably was close to the stereotypical "villain's laugh".

That didn't stop him from flatly staring at Starscream in exasperation. With that reaction, it was clear what the answer would be to his question, but he would aks anyway.]

It would be, if I could actually understand you when you use anything beside English or Cybertronian. Could I have the other language files too?

[Starscream met Jetfire's stare with a grin of his own.

[He had patience aplenty, but he also wouldn't let this go on for too long.

Of course, he'd only picked up this word because Starscream had only used one and in obvious negation of his request.]

[He gestures to Jetfire with a smirk. But at least he switched back to English for now. It wouldn't be as fun if he kept doing it all in one day.

[Jetfire shrugged, even as he gave Starscream another stare. But he kept in the slight huffed vent that wanted to escape prematurely.

[Giving Starscream a brief tap on the top of his helm before he let Starscream wave him off, Hetfire paused in the doorway, helm cocked.]

Sometimes the simplest solution is the easiest, Starscream... But I hope you'll give me the data before that.

[Not that he believes that, what with Starscream having denied him now, and obviously considering the potential "amusement" worth more than humouring Jetfire and his nicely asking for the language files.]
