[He's sort of just lounging around, but looks rather happy all things considered.]
I have to admit that I am actually having an exceptional evening and actually feeling quite pleasantly wonderful at the moment.
How are the rest of you doing? I hope your time has been just as eventful.

That is, of course, inevitable, but I shall endeavour to make the impact of said boredom as small as possible.
[Another tap, this time against the top of Starscream's helm; they would both inevitably be bored. There just weren't enough of the right sort of stimulation here, but Starscream's boredom could potentially be rather more... lethal... than Jetfire's.
And Primus help him if he does accumulate much more things.]
[commentlog]
[A slight pause before ...]
I am the only non-boring thing in your life.
[commentlog]
[He just sort of non-committaly hums at Starscream's verbal jab about being the only thing that's not boring; outright disagreeing with Starscream wouldn't half as... amusing, but Starscream's also... Not exactly correct, but partially right. It's complicated.]
And information, of whatever sort, is not boring. While it can be more or less interesting and riveting to gather what you want or need to know, anything that can be of help in this situation... or adding facts and giving new angles to theories, are useful.
And even if useful really was boring, perhaps you need more of that.
[Considering the sort of decisions and actions Starscream tends to take - even now, millions of years since they last saw each other, and after he's spent some time in such a different environment as Earth - some more information to take into consideration might be good.]
[commentlog]
I'm sorry. Everything turned into illegible drabble after 'I suppose.' Could you repeat all of that?
[commentlog]
I could, if that's what you need;

[You were saying?]
Of course, if you didn't understand that the first time around, I find I have to express concern over the proper function of your processor and language recognition software, Starscream.
[commentlog]
[He totally says this with a straight face too.]
All I heard that time was 'blah blah blah is not boring blah blah express concern over the proper function blah blah.'
I really might need to look into that.
[commentlog]
There's a slight grimace before Jetfire's expression flattens out and he cocks his helm.]
I would recommend it, yes. It seems to be getting worse. It would be a pity, after all, if it spread over the entirety of your vocal processors.
[Jetfire, close enough to do so, leaned down and murmured the next words into Starscream's audio receptors before he straightened.]
You wouldn't even be able to speak. And that would be a pity, wouldn't it?
[commentlog]
[A slight pause as he tilted his head up to look at Jetfire.]
Or write everything down on paper and force you to read it. Your language program does work for English writing now does it? Did I give you the whole Earth package or just that one?
[Because he could just start speaking in another language to screw with Jetfire.]
Jetfire-kun, o-genki desu ka?
[commentlog]
[Jetfire would have said that no, Starscream had only given him the English language pack, but considering he switched over to another Earth language and all Jetfire could so was cross his arms and stare narrowly.]
... No, Starscream, I didn't understand that.
[And why had Starscream only given him the files for merely one language?]
[commentlog]
[And with that Starscream leans back and laughs again. He would have to remember to speak in different languages at odd intervals just to annoy Jetfire.
New game, in other words.]
[commentlog]
That didn't stop him from flatly staring at Starscream in exasperation. With that reaction, it was clear what the answer would be to his question, but he would aks anyway.]
It would be, if I could actually understand you when you use anything beside English or Cybertronian. Could I have the other language files too?
[commentlog]
Oh this was too good.
He folds his arms across his chest instead of answering right away, but when he does ...]
Nein.
[commentlog]
So, excuse Jetfire as he drums his fingers against an upper arm after that... "reply".]
I'm not going to stop asking, you understand. And while it'll be hard if you switch between different languages every time, I'm still going to pick up simple words. Like now.
[He had patience aplenty, but he also wouldn't let this go on for too long.
Of course, he'd only picked up this word because Starscream had only used one and in obvious negation of his request.]
[commentlog]
[He gestures to Jetfire with a smirk. But at least he switched back to English for now. It wouldn't be as fun if he kept doing it all in one day.
No, he had to spread it out a bit.
Use phrases randomly.
That'll be more interesting.]
[commentlog]
[Jetfire shrugged, even as he gave Starscream another stare. But he kept in the slight huffed vent that wanted to escape prematurely.
There would be something he could do to get what he wanted, surely.]
[commentlog]
I don't imagine you ever being that creative. Anyway, I'm sure you have other more boring things to do.
[He waved Jetfire off. Not that he was really shooing him away. But it was easier to torment others when the larger jet wasn't standing right there.]
[commentlog]
Sometimes the simplest solution is the easiest, Starscream... But I hope you'll give me the data before that.
[Not that he believes that, what with Starscream having denied him now, and obviously considering the potential "amusement" worth more than humouring Jetfire and his nicely asking for the language files.]
